Who we are looking for
Bluefeed works on smart, sustainable and practical solutions for homes and businesses. We combine technology, automation and advice to make homes and businesses smarter and more comfortable.

That can be broad, but specialist knowledge within one field is also valuable to us.

Freelance Plumber / Heating Installer
Work with Bluefeed
Bluefeed is looking for self-employed plumbers and heating installers to support us on a project basis with sustainability and smart climate solutions for homes and businesses.
We work on smart, sustainable and practical solutions where comfort, energy and technology come together: heat pumps, hot water cylinders, underfloor and radiator heating, zoning and smart thermostats. From advice and design to installation and handover: we guide the customer through the whole process.
As a freelance plumber you make homes more comfortable, more economical and ready for the future.
What will you do?
The work differs per project. Sometimes the focus is on replacing a complete installation, sometimes on pipework, adjustments or handing over a working smart control system. Think of:
- Installing and connecting (hybrid) heat pumps, including when the gas boiler is removed
- Installing and connecting hot water cylinders
- Pipework for underfloor and radiator heating
- Fitting zone valves and connecting smart thermostats and zone controls
- Filling, bleeding, balancing and testing the installation
- Analysing and solving faults
- Thinking along about practical, reliable solutions for the customer
Who are we looking for?
Self-employed freelancers who are technically strong, work neatly and are reliable on site. You have:
- Registration with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK)
- Your own business liability insurance
- Driving licence
- Experience as a plumber, heating installer or heat pump engineer
- Practical and technical insight
- An independent, professional and customer-focused attitude
- Willingness to work together on a project basis
You do not need to be able to do everything. Experience in one area (heat pumps, central heating, sanitary or pipework) is also valuable. If you have experience with smart thermostats or zone controls, that is a clear advantage.
Work subject to legal certification or competence requirements is only carried out if you and your company meet all requirements for that work.
Working area
We work from Utrecht, mainly in the Randstad.
Hours and rate
You work as a self-employed professional, in your own name and with your own tools, and you decide how you carry out the work. Deployment is per project and always by agreement; we agree the rate with you per project, based on experience, the work and the size of the project.
Why work with Bluefeed?
Bluefeed works on smart, sustainable and practical solutions. You work on projects where heating, energy and smart control come together: not standard odd jobs, but solutions that add real value. We are looking for freelancers who deliver quality, work independently and want to invest in a long-term collaboration.
