tado°
We install tado° X: thermostat, radiator valves and balancing. More about our tado° installation.
Red cross next to a device in the app
A red cross next to a tado° X device means it has no connection. If your system is new, pairing is usually not finished or the device is too far away: go through pairing in the app again and move the device closer to the Bridge. If the system has been in place for a while, it is often flat batteries.
Batteries run down quickly
Do you have thermostats or radiator valves on batteries, and was your router or the tado° Bridge off for a while, for example during a renovation or with a new router? Then the devices keep searching for a connection and the batteries run down faster. Switch the router and Bridge back on, and only then replace the batteries. This applies to the older tado° devices (V3+) on batteries.
Wired thermostat X (2nd generation) is flat
This thermostat does not draw power from the wires; it has a rechargeable battery. Charge it before every heating season with a USB-C cable. You can do that while it hangs on the wall; the heating keeps working.
No range in an outbuilding
An extra Bridge X in the outbuilding, on the home's Wi-Fi, extends the range. A separate sensor does not solve the range.
Faulty device
If you bought tado° as a consumer from tado or an authorised partner, a 24-month manufacturer's warranty applies from purchase for material and manufacturing defects under normal use. Report it via the tado Help Center with your proof of purchase, the serial number and a photo of the installation. Your statutory rights remain in place.

Honeywell evohome
evohome controls heating per room, also in combination with underfloor heating.
evotouch panel reports low voltage
This can happen when the panel is connected via the ATF600 wall power supply to an old, thin or long thermostat wire. In that case use the panel on the wall on its battery and charge it in the table stand with its own power supply.
Wireless thermostat does not pair
Not every Honeywell thermostat works with evohome. In our experience the DTS4 did not pair; the DTS92 is the type Honeywell lists for evohome. Not sure which type you have? Send us a photo of the type plate.
